The West Vic Brolga recently hit the streets of Koroit to find out how residents have been affected by the rising cost of living.
One responder said they felt as if the good times were over.
“ Well, you see the numbers in the hotels have all dwindled down. COVID is not just to blame, it's just what's happened with society. We had the good years, now we're back to the real world.”
Another said this is a nationwide issue.
“It’s affected all of Australia. People look twice before they buy something.”
